A day at Antiques Roadshow
We won tickets to Antiques Roadshow held at Rosecliff mansion in Newport RI. Great to take a day off for work for this!

One of the items we brought is a clock my grandfather made. Turns out the clocks appraiser had met my grandfather earlier in his career. He remembered his name from a Worcester Telegram and Gazette article I had brought that included a picture of my Pépé. Clock is worth about $100 but is priceless.
That’s either appraiser Leigh or Leslie Keno, I cannot tell the twins apart!

There are surfers in the distance riding the waves from Hurricane Jose (sorry, I was expecting rain so I did not bring my Fuji camera with zoom).

Bees are in the Hive
Lise’s bee’s arrived this past Friday. We picked them up and put them in the garage for the night.
Saturday was the day to add them into their new hive.
That’s a lot of bees, 3lbs worth, or about ??? bees
The yellow tab is where the queen is, sorry no pics of her. She has a yellow marking on her for identification.
Lise enjoying the day:
We opened the shipping crate and shook the bees into their new hive. There were still some in the crate, so we left it on the ground hoping they would vacate and enter the hive with the rest of them. We came back a few hours later and there were three big clumps of bees, probably too cold for them with temps in the 40’s. I had to cut the screening and push the rest of them out. One bee got stuck on the inside of my pants leg, to get out he stung, Ouch!
